The Food & Beverage sector demands extremely rigorous standards. Labels cannot fall off frosted meat products, nor dissolve when exposed to oil leaking from a jar. Our printing house selects a dedicated set: substrate + certified adhesive + barrier varnish to satisfy the most demanding sanitary inspections and retail shelf requirements.
Products stored in cold rooms require complete adhesive waterproofing. Specialized Thermal TOP Papers or PP Films prevent deformation caused by moisture changes when condensation forms in retail display cases.
Artisanal packaging is a significant challenge for the label surface. Regular paper soaked with oil from a leaking cap turns grey-transparent. We use reliable, resistant pearl papers and synthetics for preserves and pressed oil bottles.
| Hazard (Environment) | Standard Semi-Gloss Paper | PP Film / TOP Paper (Our Standard) |
|---|---|---|
| Cold / Freezing | Quickly absorbs condensation moisture | DF adhesive — easily withstands temperatures and frost |
| Oil / Grease Exposure | Absorbs grease — label turns dark and unsightly | PP film completely repels drops and drips |
| Wet Steam Pasteurization | Paper dissolves and blisters — falls off | Remains intact through boiling water (PP film water resistance) |
Even the most beautiful artisanal jam jar won't sell if the label falls off after 3 days in cold storage. For the food sector we offer specialized adhesive selection: Deep Freeze when you need to apply labels to meat on XPS trays and immediately seal them in a -20°C freezer, or ultra-strong cross-linked rubber-based HOT MELT adhesive ideal for rough textured plastic containers and sharp-angled hexagonal jars.
Yes, we offer specialized papers and acrylic/rubber adhesives with ISEGA certifications for indirect or direct (dry) food contact — e.g., as seals on bread, dry meat, fruits and vegetables.
For retail displays and cold rooms, Thermal TOP Papers with additional insulating layer or synthetic PE/PP Films with deep freeze adhesive (HotMelt DF) perform best. We advise against cheap thin ECO variants, as condensation moisture completely ruins product appearance on the shelf.
Regular paper deteriorates and swells under moisture and hot steam impact during sterilization and pasteurization. To maintain factory-fresh appearance after wet heat treatment, we strongly recommend using rigid waterproof PP Films.
Consumer health is the priority. Our flexographic or digital printing uses safe low-migration inks. Every product intended for direct or indirect food contact is rigorously based on acrylic and rubber adhesives with necessary certifications (e.g., ISEGA standards) for complete sanitary safety on the production line.
Thermal TOP labels for frozen products feature specialized double barrier coating that maintains full print readability even at temperatures down to -35°C. Combined with Deep Freeze adhesive, they create a system that withstands conditions in any industrial cold room.
